FY08 Teachers, Teamwork and Technology
(T3) Grant Update
The grants have been awarded! We will be contacting the
grant schools soon with budget information, a few changes in the
grant funding, and to schedule walk-throughs at the schools.
The Instructional Technology Division of the Georgia Department
of Education announced the FY08 Title II-D Competitive grant during
the GaETC conference held in Atlanta, Georgia on November 14-16.
We held a Grant Writing Meeting here at Macon State College in the
Theatre on Friday, January 11 where we provided the grant
guidance and the scoring rubric, after which our staff and Jane
Henson of the the GaDOE held a question and answer session. If you
were unable to attend the workshop, the
presentation is available for viewing, and the handouts and all
required materials are available at the
grant website.
The Macon State College ETC is here to support your district
during the grant implementation process. We are
excited to be a part of the work that you are doing in your schools.
Jerry Bunch is the serving as the lead Instructional Technology
Specialist for the grant at our center. If you have any questions, please contact
him as soon as possible.

Meet with awarded schools immediately
following award announcements for walk through, discuss
equipment placement and other issues.

May - July 2008 Budgets

Budgets: ETC should approve budget.

Budget should be uploaded to Con Apps no
later than May 15th.

Equipment ordered by June 15, delivered by
July 15, installed before school starts (some systems begin in
July so their equipment should installed before the first day of
school).
