Technology Solutions That Work

A Guide to the Selection of Software and Technology-based Solutions

With a national focus on higher academic achievement, it is more important than ever to be able to find software and technological tools that have a successful track record for improving teaching and learning. The Technology Solutions That Work (TSW) Database is designed to put research about software and technological tools at your fingertips. The TSW database provides a comprehensive analysis of what research says works and doesn't work with technology products intended to improve learning. These "Solutions that Work" not only allow educators to advance academic skills in new and more effective ways, they also open the door to benefits for students that would not have been dreamed of a decade ago.

All Georgia Educators now have access to these online research databases at no cost through January 31, 2007. In order to access Technology Solutions That Work, it is necessary to get a "token" from your local Educational Technology Center (ETC). Contact the ETC at Macon State College to receive your token - (478) 471-5380. Upon receiving your token, download and follow the these directions: TSWToken.pdf.

Availability of this database does not imply endorsement by the Georgia Department of Education of any software programs listed, but rather is intended to be a resource to assist districts and schools in their consideration of software purchases.
