Wireless Network Training
Classes
Two classes have been developed and are periodically
presented at ETC Macon, Wireless Network Administration and
Wireless Network Security.
Wireless Network Administration: This course (4 days - 2
PLUs) is intended to help prepare the student for the CWNA
certification test. The CWNA (Certified Wireless Network
Administrator) certification shows proficiency in installing,
managing, and troubleshooting wireless networks. This course also
provides entry-level training for those IT professionals who are new
to wireless networking but who want to come up to speed quickly. In
addition, this course addresses professionals already familiar with
wireless LANs and who want to fill in any gaps in their knowledge,
and prove their expertise to help their school or system.
Wireless Network Security: Many school systems have
already installed wireless networks or are in the process of
considering new wireless networks. In either case, it is important
that the school system have at least one person who is thoroughly
versed in wireless network security. The Certified Wireless Security
Professional is the top-rated certification for those who want to
become expert at securing and managing wireless networks. This
in-depth, discussion and hands-on class prepares the student for the
CWSP exam and looks at wireless attacks, attack prevention, wireless
security standards, etc. Participants must have basic wireless
network experience to attend this class.
